XMB Theme For Windowsby ~NKPISHOT

Playstation 3 Theme for Windows
I've been wanting to do this for quite some time now, and sadly there is very little available on the internet as far as PS3 themes FOR WINDOWS goes. So why not make your own?

Its an XMB based theme. But in reality, its only a horizontal bar so, HMB?
CLICKING DOWNLOAD WILL ONLY GIVE YOU THE PICTURE ABOVE. If you want to make your computer look like this, just follow the instructions below. Updates version coming soon.

Then I used ObjectDock's control panel to put the dock in the center of the screen, put the shortcuts that I wanted on the dock, and applied the XMB icons. I also made the dock skin 100% transparent.

I also chose to hide the vista taskbar.

And thats pretty much it. Because I'm on a laptop at the moment I've added a few widgets to the desktop, the battery widget, weather and system performance. A few others.

Of course, what you do with this is completely up to you. Theres a veritable multiverse of XMB related wallpapers that would work with this just fine and the icon layout and other customizations are totally up to you.

I'm also going to start working on a docklet extension that will allow for the vertical menus. I'll keep you guys updated.

You could include Rocketdock for use as the vertical dock.I don't know of any way to run two instances of a single dock program.

You can get Object dock pro and run multiple docks simultaneously, which would produce a more effective and useful look. But It costs $29 or something lol.

How do the icons work for the obejct deck? I don't get even half of the icons.

Eeep! Sorry about the late reply.

I made this theme up late March last year, since then its seems the icons are no longer available on Mr.Billionaire's page, so you'll need to download them elsewhere, (try here

Then simply extract the icons the folder you want.

Then add shortcuts to programs and applications you want onto your dock, like on this setup i've used

Users icon: My Computer
Settings icon: Control Panel
Photo, Video, Music, Downloads icons lead to their respective folders.
Web leads to the web browser, Friends leads to my contacts, the Chat leads to Yahoo messenger.

Simply drag the short cuts on, right click and choose customize shortcut. You can add your own icons instead .

its pretty simple.

How can I install it? How can I move the Dock in the middle of the screen?

Its not a pre-packaged thing. Unfortunately I'm not awesome enough to compile the entire thing. Instead I've provided links to the components you need.

You'll need StarDock Object Dock (preferrably the latest version), and the icon pack by :devmrbillionaire: (links to both of these can be found in the description).

Simply download the dock, install it, drag on the shortcuts you want, and change the icons of the dock shortcuts.

You can re-position the dock by right clicking it, selecting Object Dock Properties, and going to the appearance tab...
